Aviso de privacidad de Kapsi

Última actualización: 18 de octubre de 2026

Kapsi no recoge ningún dato tuyo.

Kapsi Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 18, 2026

Kapsi does not collect any of your data. There is no server and no account to create: your medications, your reminders and your family’s stay on your iPhone.

What the app stores, and where

To do its job, the app stores what you type: your medications and supplements (name, brand, barcode, dose and schedule), the doses you mark as taken, how much you have left, your purchases (price, store and date), your favorite stores, your family’s or your pet’s profiles, what you keep in your medicine cabinet, any photos you take of the box or the prescription, and your settings.

All of it is stored only on your own iPhone. It is not sent to us or to anyone else, because the app has no server to send it to. If you delete the app, that data is deleted with it.

We know that which medications someone takes is sensitive. That is why the app never asks for your name, email, phone number or any account.

Location and map

When you open the store map, your iPhone asks whether the app may use your location while you use it. It is used to show nearby pharmacies and stores. The search is done by Apple Maps: Apple receives the map area and what is being searched for (for example, “pharmacy”), never your medications. We do not receive or store your location. If you do not grant permission, the map still works, starting in downtown Monterrey.

When you pick a store for a purchase, the store’s name and address are saved on your iPhone, not where you were.

Camera and photos

The camera is used to read the barcode on the box and to take photos of your medications or your prescription. Those photos are kept inside the app, on your iPhone. The app only stores them: it does not read or send them.

“Check prices at” and other links

The “Check prices at” button opens the website of the store you choose (for example, a pharmacy or Mercado Libre) with the product already searched. From there you are on that store’s website: it receives that search and handles it under its own privacy policy. The app does not read those pages or know what you do on them.

Which stores appear and which currency prices are shown in depend on your iPhone’s region (Settings → General → Language & Region) or on the country you pick in the app’s Settings (“Store country”). The app only reads it on your phone; it never sends it anywhere.

“Directions” opens Apple Maps and “Call” opens your iPhone’s phone app.

Reminders

Reminders are local notifications: your own iPhone schedules them and they stay there. They are not push notifications, so no server knows what you take or when. If you do not grant notification permission, the app still works — it just will not remind you.

Widget

If you add the widget to your home screen, it shows your next dose and how many days you have left, with each product’s name. It reads them from a shared space inside your own iPhone. Keep in mind that anyone who sees your home screen will see those names.

Doctor list and backups

The list for your doctor (PDF) and the backup of your data are generated on your iPhone, and you decide who to send them to or where to keep them. They contain health information: take care of them as you would a prescription. Once they leave the app, they are outside our reach.

Pro and “Support Kapsi”

The Pro purchase and the “Support Kapsi” tip are processed by Apple, not by us. We never see or receive your payment details; the only thing the app asks is whether this Apple Account already bought Pro, so it can unlock its features. The tip unlocks nothing and is not stored in the app. Apple’s handling of those purchases is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy.

“Rate Kapsi” opens the App Store so you can write a review, if you want to.

No analytics, no ads, no third parties

The app contains no analytics, tracking or advertising tools. We do not share, sell or transfer information to third parties, because we do not have any.

Children

You can keep track of your children’s medications. What you enter about them stays on your iPhone, just like your own, and never reaches us.

Changes to this policy

If the app ever lets you share prices with other people, it will be optional, shared without your name, and this policy will be updated before that happens, with the date above reflecting the change.
